Hello and welcome back! Happy Valentine’s Days, my loves! I hope you all have had a day filled with lots of love. Valentine’s Day is one of those silly holidays that always makes me smile. We normally go out to dinner, but this year decided to celebrate the weekend before with a little hike. The weather has started warming back up here in Florida. The high was actually 80 today. It made me laugh this weekend thinking about how people are still in long sleeves up north and here I am turning on our air conditioner and wearing shorts.
Hello and welcome back! I hope you all had a marvelous weekend. We are here with some rosé and This Is Us, winding down and getting ready for the new week. This Wednesday is Valentine’s Day! My best friend and I have made it a tradition over the last few years to celebrate Galentine’s Day. (Any Parks and Rec fans out there?) Even though we are both in relationships, we have so much fun spending time together to celebrate.
The last few years we’ve gone out on a girl date and gotten our nails done and had dinner without the boys. This year I decided to have a little get together with some girlfriends and celebrate being the awesome women we are! (Also, Target had the cutest decorations in their dollar spot so I couldn’t resist a good reason to party!)
I’m super thankful for the women in my life who encourage, love, and support me. I’m thankful to be alive during a time where women are finally recognized as strong and independent people and am so proud to be a woman! Do you celebrate Galentine’s Day? Which women inspire you the most? Let me know in the comments!
Hello and welcome back! Today is the first day of the second month of this year! This year is off to a wonderful start. February normally means that Florida has some pretty nice weather. I am loving the cooler temperatures. I know February can be kind of dreary in a lot of places, but we don’t mind it too much! Valentine’s day is just around the corner, and I wanted to share one of my favorite outfit ideas with you.
Hello and welcome back! I hope your January has been off to a great start! Mine has been super busy. Lots of crazy things coming up this year and I can’t wait to share more.
Do you ever get bored with certain pieces in your closet and wish they had a little something extra? I do! Instead of running out and buying new pieces all the time, I like to survey my closet for pieces that have potential or make a trip to goodwill and find the diamonds in the rough.
Today I want to show you how you can easily up-cycle thrift store finds or older pieces in your closet. I love giving my clothes a new lease on life and saving some money!
Hello and welcome back! I hope you guys are having a positive and productive Monday.
Today is my honey’s birthday and today is the last of our three-day weekend. We’ve had a wonderful weekend spent with family and friends celebrating this awesome guy we all love! We went to see a production of A Christmas Carol at our local theater on Saturday and to dinner at one of our favorite local restaurants. The weather has been surprisingly chilly lately. (It’s currently 30 degrees outside while I type!) It’s been so fun being bundled up in big coats and fuzzy socks.
Today I’m sharing some of our photos we took while we were in Pennsylvania for Thanksgiving. I love how these turned out. Willow trees are not something we really have here in Florida and I was completely mesmerized by them. So naturally, they made the perfect backdrop!
Hello and welcome back! I hope you all had a fun Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful week away with some of our favorite people, but it’s nice to be back home with our two sweet pups.
Can you believe tomorrow is December 1st? My semester for school is wrapping up next week and I’m looking forward to a few weeks of no homework! I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve already started to do my holiday shopping because I know how fast this last month of the year will fly by.
If you asked me if I think it’s easier for me to shop for men or women, I would say women. I’ve gathered some gift ideas for the ladies in your life, just in case you’re in need of some inspiration!
Hello and welcome back! It’s been pretty hot here in Florida again recently, until a few days ago. It’s starting to feel like fall again (happy dance) and that means we can wear warmer clothes again.
Today I wanted to share with you my absolute favorite coat. I got it last year and I am not kidding, every single time I wear it, I get a compliment on it. Every time. The best thing about this coat after its beautiful green color, is the price.
I had never even considered getting a brightly colored coat, but around this time last year, Isaac and I were watching Brooklyn on HBO and Saoirse Ronan’s character, Eilis, was wearing a green coat in one scene. As soon as I saw her in it, I knew immediately that I wanted a green coat. Continue reading “Going Green”
Hello and welcome back! It’s crazy how the time change has made me feel so productive today. That extra hour has really made a difference for me.
Has anyone else started thinking about the holidays already? I know I definitely have. We’re going out of town for Thanksgiving this year and I’m so excited! I also may or may not be listening to Christmas music already.
Today I wanted to share a super easy holiday hairstyle with you guys!
Hello and welcome back! I can’t say it enough how much I love fall weather. It feels so great to finally be able to wear warmer clothes. (For now at least!) All I want to do is be outside. We went to our local fair this week and the weather was so perfect. It was one of the colder nights we’ve seen in a while, so I took full advantage and decided to wear some of my new fall pieces.
Holy guacamole, I am ready for Halloween. You guys, it officially feels like fall this week! I actually wore a sweater yesterday AND today. Can you believe it?? It’s a fall miracle.
Halloween is in T-Minus five days! Do you know what you’re going to be yet? If not, I’ve got your back. Today I’ve got a super easy last minute Halloween costume for you: an Avocado!
This is for those of you who want to DIY your costume, but don’t want to spend a lot of time/money/effort on it.
