Yep! You read that title right! AHH! Today I’m sharing the biggest news I’ve had in a while!
Two weeks ago today, my best friend in the entire world asked me a super important question. In a matter of a moment, my boyfriend became my fiancé. (I get butterflies every time I think about it and I get super emotional!) For the first time in my life, I was speechless and through my tears I managed to quickly nod and after a few more tears and a huge hug, I managed to say, “Of course I will!”
Isaac proposed in such an intimate and personal way that meant so much to me. The moment was OUR moment and it couldn’t have been more “us.” Isaac is the funniest person I know and makes me laugh harder than anyone. He is my very best friend and knows me better than I know myself. I have loved him from the very start and have never doubted that he is the one for me.
I can’t wait to document and share this process and also be able to reflect on things I’m feeling now once we get in the thick of the planning and eventually married. (It still sounds so weird). It’s so crazy how one second you are having a completely normal day and then all of the sudden you know that you are going to remember this day for the rest of your life. Hello and Happy Thanksgiving! I’m so happy this day has arrived. It’s so nice to relax and spend time with people who mean a lot to you. Preparing for holidays can be so stressful with all the shopping and traveling so it’s nice to finally relax when the holiday arrives. We are here in Pennsylvania now with Isaac’s family. The weather is quite chilly! We went for a short hike and I thought my hands were going to fall off they were so cold! Fortunately, I had gloves to keep me warm. I love colder weather. It gives me an opportunity to wear the warmer clothes that normally sit in my closet for most of the year! Continue reading “Happy Thanksgiving”
Hello and welcome back! We are in DC! After a crazy day of travel, we are here. There is nothing like the feeling of a Sunday night when you know you don’t have to work the next day. It reminds me of summer vacations from when I was a kid.
We are hanging out with Isaac’s brother, Rob for a bit before we go even further north to see other family. This Florida girl is cold, you guys! The second I stepped off the plane I immediately wondered if the clothes I packed were warm enough.

I don’t know about you, but I am always looking for ways to make things easier and more efficient for myself, especially when it comes to traveling.
In honor of summer vacations (which I just got back from myself), I’ve decided to round up my five best life hacks for traveling to share with you. As much as I love to travel, it’s hard to remember to pack everything sometimes.
I have used all of these hacks in the last week and they really work!

Watching a musical on Broadway has been on my bucket list since I was a kid. Fun fact about me: I love to sing! I was in chorus from Kindergarten through high school. I was even in a school production of Annie when I was twelve. I played Grace, Oliver Warbucks’ assistant. One of the songs is called “NYC.” I remember singing it onstage and imagining what it would be like on Broadway. Earlier this week I was finally able to go to the Big Apple. It was everything I imagined it would be and more. The bright lights of Time Square, fancy people walking the streets in a hurry, the blaring horns – it was unlike anything I’ve ever seen.
