Galentine’s Day

Hello and welcome back! I hope you all had a marvelous weekend. We are here with some rosé and This Is Us, winding down and getting ready for the new week. This Wednesday is Valentine’s Day! My best friend and I have made it a tradition over the last few years to celebrate Galentine’s Day. (Any Parks and Rec fans out there?) Even though we are both in relationships, we have so much fun spending time together to celebrate.

The last few years we’ve gone out on a girl date and gotten our nails done and had dinner without the boys. This year I decided to have a little get together with some girlfriends and celebrate being the awesome women we are! (Also, Target had the cutest decorations in their dollar spot so I couldn’t resist a good reason to party!)galentines day

I’m super thankful for the women in my life who encourage, love, and support me. I’m thankful to be alive during a time where women are finally recognized as strong and independent people and am so proud to be a woman! Do you celebrate Galentine’s Day? Which women inspire you the most? Let me know in the comments!

  1. OMG. Somehow I missed reading this and your new post till tonight. I’m honored to be thought of in the same sentence as the word inspirational. And humbled, because that doesn’t sound like me.
I’m inspired by many women. By Jackie, who after retiring from nursing has found a new path leading a class in memoir writing at a prison, and who is studying French prior to a trip to Paris.
By My niece Carolyn who took leave from her job and cared for her dad through his final 7 weeks of life. By a friend who fights with her chemistry (bipolar disorder) and creates breathtaking water colors and photos. By people who see the potential even in small things and who plan and create and love to laugh and share (like the writer of Senseful Style). And my friend Jo who always inspires me to keep trying to get/be in shape. So many more, too. I’m lucky. I have so many women to admire!
