Hello and welcome back! It’s been pretty hot here in Florida again recently, until a few days ago. It’s starting to feel like fall again (happy dance) and that means we can wear warmer clothes again.
Today I wanted to share with you my absolute favorite coat. I got it last year and I am not kidding, every single time I wear it, I get a compliment on it. Every time. The best thing about this coat after its beautiful green color, is the price.
I had never even considered getting a brightly colored coat, but around this time last year, Isaac and I were watching Brooklyn on HBO and Saoirse Ronan’s character, Eilis, was wearing a green coat in one scene. As soon as I saw her in it, I knew immediately that I wanted a green coat.
That same night, I browsed so many websites. I can’t even begin to guess how many. I was determined to find a beautiful coat that was reasonably priced. I found this coat on Amazon and it had several reviews. I was sold on the lace at the bottom and the bow on the back. Like many, I can be pretty hesitant about ordering clothes online because the sizing can be way off. Fortunately, I was able to go through the reviews and see the pictures other people had posted of it. The reviews were very helpful and I was able to order the right size. Even a year later it’s still one of my favorite warmer pieces. It’s warm and cozy but also very lightweight, which makes it really easy to travel with.
Any other Taylor Swift fans out there? I’ve been playing her new album, reputation on repeat since Friday. (And I’m still not tired of it!) Anyway, this necklace I found on Etsy has been my new favorite piece of jewelry and it reminds me of a line from her song, “Call it What You Want”

We are in full blown Christmas decorating mode over here and I can’t wait to share some fun DIYs with you soon. Do you guys decorate for Christmas before or after Thanksgiving? Let me know in the comments!
Definitely after!
😉 And you’re right. That’s a standout coat. I love it!
Isaac must take after his momma then! He was very anti decorating before Thanksgiving, but we are working on it. Haha
