I don’t know about you, but I am always looking for ways to make things easier and more efficient for myself, especially when it comes to traveling.
In honor of summer vacations (which I just got back from myself), I’ve decided to round up my five best life hacks for traveling to share with you. As much as I love to travel, it’s hard to remember to pack everything sometimes.
I have used all of these hacks in the last week and they really work!
1. Bobby Pin Explosion? Solution: Small Food Container
This life hack is a game changer! I love it so much that I use it for both travel and at home. It is so nice to have a portable place to keep bobby pins. Every girl knows how elusive they can be when you need them. Now I can whip out my little container instead of digging around the bottom of my purse. I have found myself needing to buy bobby pins less frequently because of this trick!
2. Wrinkled Shirt? Solution: Flat Iron
My best friend actually told me about this genius trick. I always bring my flat iron when I travel. This life hack was a lifesaver when we went on vacation last week. Isaac’s button downs always seem to get wrinkled right around the buttons. We were running out the door to dinner and I was able to use my flat iron on his shirt really quick after doing my hair. (Talk about two birds with one stone!)
3. Scuffed Shoe? Solution: Nail Polish
This trick has saved so many of my nude heels. There is nothing more sad than discovering a scuff on your favorite pair of shoes. I have even used black nail polish to touch up scuffs on black shoes too. Needless to say, I will always have black and nude nail polish handy when I travel.
4. Deodorant Marks on Shirt? Solution: Dryer Sheet
I love dryer sheets. I always bring them with me when I travel because they have many uses! They work surprisingly well for getting deodorant marks off of dark clothing and not to mention they give a little extra boost of that fresh laundry smell, which I love.
5. Forgot Your Lint Roller? Solution: Maxi Pad
This life hack was a funny and unexpected one. I forgot to pack my lint roller when we went to NYC last week. I’m sure any ladies out there can relate when I say that I always have extra feminine products in my bag when traveling, because you just never know! I always like to be prepared. I highly recommend packing a little extra the next trip you take. It may save the day in more ways than one!
