Galentine’s Day

Hello and welcome back! I hope you all had a marvelous weekend. We are here with some rosé and This Is Us, winding down and getting ready for the new week. This Wednesday is Valentine’s Day! My best friend and I have made it a tradition over the last few years to celebrate Galentine’s Day. (Any Parks and Rec fans out there?) Even though we are both in relationships, we have so much fun spending time together to celebrate.

The last few years we’ve gone out on a girl date and gotten our nails done and had dinner without the boys. This year I decided to have a little get together with some girlfriends and celebrate being the awesome women we are! (Also, Target had the cutest decorations in their dollar spot so I couldn’t resist a good reason to party!)galentines day

I’m super thankful for the women in my life who encourage, love, and support me. I’m thankful to be alive during a time where women are finally recognized as strong and independent people and am so proud to be a woman! Do you celebrate Galentine’s Day? Which women inspire you the most? Let me know in the comments!

Valentine’s Day Outfit 2018

Hello and welcome back! Today is the first day of the second month of this year! This year is off to a wonderful start. February normally means that Florida has some pretty nice weather. I am loving the cooler temperatures. I know February can be kind of dreary in a lot of places, but we don’t mind it too much! Valentine’s day is just around the corner, and I wanted to share one of my favorite outfit ideas with you.

DIY Clothing Hacks

Hello and welcome back! I hope your January has been off to a great start! Mine has been super busy. Lots of crazy things coming up this year and I can’t wait to share more.

Do you ever get bored with certain pieces in your closet and wish they had a little something extra? I do! Instead of running out and buying new pieces all the time, I like to survey my closet for pieces that have potential or make a trip to goodwill and find the diamonds in the rough.

Today I want to show you how you can easily up-cycle thrift store finds or older pieces in your closet. I love giving my clothes a new lease on life and saving some money!

To Meat or Not To Meat?

Hello and welcome back! I hope you all have had a productive first week of this new year! I know I have. Side note – have you guys seen the weather lately?! This has been very unusual for Florida. The low is 21 degrees tonight. There was even snow yesterday in parts of Florida. It’s crazy. We even had to wait for our windshield to defrost before going to work today. (I honestly don’t know the last time I had to do that!) I am loving this weather while it lasts.

Anyway, I wanted to share a few thoughts about food today. Isaac and I have had much discussion about cutting back on eating meat, so we have started trying to eat meat only once a week. I really want to be more conscious of the food we eat and products we use. Continue reading “To Meat or Not To Meat?”

New Year’s Resolutions 2018

Hello and Happy New Year! 2018 is officially upon us. I have very high hopes for this year. I’ve had the best weekend planning and getting organized. Isaac and I participate in New Year’s “Resolutions,” but we have sort of a different approach.

New Year’s Resolutions are all about self-improvement, so I don’t think we should limit ourselves to making goals and wanting to better ourselves only at the beginning of the year. Last year, Isaac and I really wanted our focus to be on saving money, cooking at home more, and eating out less. Instead of looking at this challenge as a resolution, we looked at it as a lifestyle change. Continue reading “New Year’s Resolutions 2018”

How to Stay Organized in 2018

Hello and welcome back! I hope you all have had a wonderful winter thus far. I’ve been taking a short break from blogging and social media to really enjoy my break from school and spend time with my family. So much has happened this year and I can’t wait to see what 2018 will bring!

As you guys know, I love Sundays. Sundays are my day to hit the restart button and get ready for the upcoming week. So, how perfect is it that this New Year’s Eve is on a Sunday, and New Year’s Day is on a Monday!? I find this time of year so motivational. People are so happy and excited for the potential a new year brings.

I love reflecting at the end of a year and to think about what I want from the next. For me, staying organized in all aspects of life really helps me succeed. Today I wanted to share a few things that help me stay organized throughout the year!

Holiday Party Outfit

cute holiday outfit ideas

Hello and welcome back! I hope you guys are having a positive and productive Monday.

Today is my honey’s birthday and today is the last of our three-day weekend. We’ve had a wonderful weekend spent with family and friends celebrating this awesome guy we all love! We went to see a production of A Christmas Carol at our local theater on Saturday and to dinner at one of our favorite local restaurants. The weather has been surprisingly chilly lately. (It’s currently 30 degrees outside while I type!) It’s been so fun being bundled up in big coats and fuzzy socks.

Today I’m sharing some of our photos we took while we were in Pennsylvania for Thanksgiving. I love how these turned out. Willow trees are not something we really have here in Florida and I was completely mesmerized by them. So naturally, they made the perfect backdrop!

Gift Ideas for Him

Hello and welcome back! I hope you all are having a wonderful week. I finished my last exam for this semester last night and I could not be more excited to have a break from school for a few weeks. This weekend I plan on wrapping up the last bit of Christmas shopping. Oddly enough, most of the people left for me to shop for are guys. I think the men in my life are harder to shop for because they are all so easy going. Today I wanted to share a few gift ideas for the men in your life.

Gift Ideas for Her

Hello and welcome back! I hope you all had a fun Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful week away with some of our favorite people, but it’s nice to be back home with our two sweet pups.

Can you believe tomorrow is December 1st? My semester for school is wrapping up next week and I’m looking forward to a few weeks of no homework! I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve already started to do my holiday shopping because I know how fast this last month of the year will fly by.

If you asked me if I think it’s easier for me to shop for men or women, I would say women. I’ve gathered some gift ideas for the ladies in your life, just in case you’re in need of some inspiration!

Happy Thanksgiving

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving! I’m so happy this day has arrived. It’s so nice to relax and spend time with people who mean a lot to you. Preparing for holidays can be so stressful with all the shopping and traveling so it’s nice to finally relax when the holiday arrives. We are here in Pennsylvania now with Isaac’s family. The weather is quite chilly! We went for a short hike and I thought my hands were going to fall off they were so cold! Fortunately, I had gloves to keep me warm. I love colder weather. It gives me an opportunity to wear the warmer clothes that normally sit in my closet for most of the year! Continue reading “Happy Thanksgiving”
