Hello and welcome back! We are in DC! After a crazy day of travel, we are here. There is nothing like the feeling of a Sunday night when you know you don’t have to work the next day. It reminds me of summer vacations from when I was a kid.
We are hanging out with Isaac’s brother, Rob for a bit before we go even further north to see other family. This Florida girl is cold, you guys! The second I stepped off the plane I immediately wondered if the clothes I packed were warm enough.

Hello and welcome back! Only one more week until Thanksgiving. Can you believe it? I know I can’t. We are going out of town to visit family for Thanksgiving this year, so we did all of our Christmas decorating early so that when we come home we can relax and enjoy the decorations.
I found our Christmas tree a few years ago at Walmart for only $40. It’s 6.5 feet tall and pre-lit. It’s a pretty basic looking tree. For what we paid for it, we have absolutely gotten our money’s worth. Last year, I found myself ogling other people’s flocked Christmas trees online. The fake snow is stunning with the lights. So this year I decided I wanted a tree upgrade, until I actually started looking online at flocked trees. They are so expensive!! I can certainly attest they are beautiful, but I’m not about to shell out $300 on a tree. Imagine all the gifts you can get people with that money! Naturally, we decided to DIY it. The best part is that we only spent $15 on the supplies!

Hello and welcome back! It’s been pretty hot here in Florida again recently, until a few days ago. It’s starting to feel like fall again (happy dance) and that means we can wear warmer clothes again.
Today I wanted to share with you my absolute favorite coat. I got it last year and I am not kidding, every single time I wear it, I get a compliment on it. Every time. The best thing about this coat after its beautiful green color, is the price.
I had never even considered getting a brightly colored coat, but around this time last year, Isaac and I were watching Brooklyn on HBO and Saoirse Ronan’s character, Eilis, was wearing a green coat in one scene. As soon as I saw her in it, I knew immediately that I wanted a green coat. Continue reading “Going Green”
Hello and welcome back! I love Thanksgiving, but Christmas is the holiday I go all out for when it comes to decorations. This year I was looking for a simple, inexpensive centerpiece that still looked pretty. Of course, I love to browse my local Dollar Tree and see what I can make. All of the pieces I used to make my Thanksgiving centerpiece this year are from Dollar Tree and I actually already had everything here at home, so I didn’t spend a thing!

Hello and welcome back! It’s crazy how the time change has made me feel so productive today. That extra hour has really made a difference for me.
Has anyone else started thinking about the holidays already? I know I definitely have. We’re going out of town for Thanksgiving this year and I’m so excited! I also may or may not be listening to Christmas music already.
Today I wanted to share a super easy holiday hairstyle with you guys!

Well hello there, November! I feel like you must have been speeding to get here because you are upon us way quicker than I expected.
Guys, we only have two months left of 2017! This time of year always flies by. After Halloween, there’s Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and then comes December with Christmas, and New Year’s right behind it. No doubt, this is the busiest time of the year.
Of course with that comes added stress and cold and flu season on top of that. Unfortunately with this last wave of cooler weather, I started feeling a cold coming on.

Hello and welcome back! I can’t say it enough how much I love fall weather. It feels so great to finally be able to wear warmer clothes. (For now at least!) All I want to do is be outside. We went to our local fair this week and the weather was so perfect. It was one of the colder nights we’ve seen in a while, so I took full advantage and decided to wear some of my new fall pieces.

Hello and welcome back! Happy Friday, my friends. I am so glad the weekend is here. Who else is going to be binge watching the new season of Stranger Things this weekend? (In between all of the Halloween festivities, of course)
Today I’m back with another last minute Halloween costume idea: a Snapchat Filter!
Have you ever thought you weren’t going to do anything for Halloween and then last minute your friends ask you to go out and do something that sounds really fun? That’s actually happened to me for two years in a row. Ha! If that sounds like you and you didn’t have a great costume planned out, don’t fret, I’ve got your back. This costume is so cute, and I had everything at home already to make it, so I didn’t spend a penny.

Holy guacamole, I am ready for Halloween. You guys, it officially feels like fall this week! I actually wore a sweater yesterday AND today. Can you believe it?? It’s a fall miracle.
Halloween is in T-Minus five days! Do you know what you’re going to be yet? If not, I’ve got your back. Today I’ve got a super easy last minute Halloween costume for you: an Avocado!
This is for those of you who want to DIY your costume, but don’t want to spend a lot of time/money/effort on it.

Hello and welcome back! I hope your weekend has been as great as mine. Today I wanted to share some of my favorites for fall so far this year! I’ve included a little bit of everything, because I couldn’t narrow it down. (I just love everything related to fall too much!)
I went to a thrift shop with some friends last week and picked up a bunch of sweaters. I love thrift shopping. While I was there, I found this amazing leather jacket for under $15. Can you say steal?! It goes perfectly with leggings and booties. Of course, it hasn’t been cool enough to wear it outside here in Florida, but I’m fully prepared for when it finally is!
