Well hello there, November! I feel like you must have been speeding to get here because you are upon us way quicker than I expected.
Guys, we only have two months left of 2017! This time of year always flies by. After Halloween, there’s Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and then comes December with Christmas, and New Year’s right behind it. No doubt, this is the busiest time of the year.
Of course with that comes added stress and cold and flu season on top of that. Unfortunately with this last wave of cooler weather, I started feeling a cold coming on.
Today I wanted to share some of my Sick Day Essentials.
As soon as I start feeling under the weather I drink some Emergen C. I have noticed that when I use it, my colds don’t linger as long as they have in the past. As someone who is admittedly very picky when it comes to medicine tastes, the orange flavor is not that bad. I drink it for the first few days I’m feeling sick. The quicker you drink it, the better!
Obviously comfy clothes are a must when you are feeling sick. I love wearing hoodies, tank tops, and leggings like these. I’m always cold anyway, so I love wearing slippers and bundling up with cozy blankets, but I especially love them when I’m sick.
I recently discovered these Puffs tissues with Vicks. Let me tell you, these tissues are a game changer if you have a congested nose. I highly recommend them. The tissues are scented and help you breathe easier every time you reach for one.
Anyone else whose lips get super chapped when you’re sick? I know mine do. For me, lip balm is a must.
I always love curling up with a great book like this one or watching a favorite movie. The Good Girl is an awesome suspenseful thriller and I highly recommend it. Mean Girls is one of my all time favorite movies. I’m pretty sure I can quote the whole thing.
Soup is also a must-have when you’re feeling under the weather. I love the Campbell’s Classic Chunky Chicken Noodle.
