DIY Clothing Hacks

Hello and welcome back! I hope your January has been off to a great start! Mine has been super busy. Lots of crazy things coming up this year and I can’t wait to share more.

Do you ever get bored with certain pieces in your closet and wish they had a little something extra? I do! Instead of running out and buying new pieces all the time, I like to survey my closet for pieces that have potential or make a trip to goodwill and find the diamonds in the rough.

Today I want to show you how you can easily up-cycle thrift store finds or older pieces in your closet. I love giving my clothes a new lease on life and saving some money!

DIY Flocked Christmas Tree

Hello and welcome back! Only one more week until Thanksgiving. Can you believe it? I know I can’t. We are going out of town to visit family for Thanksgiving this year, so we did all of our Christmas decorating early so that when we come home we can relax and enjoy the decorations.

I found our Christmas tree a few years ago at Walmart for only $40. It’s 6.5 feet tall and pre-lit. It’s a pretty basic looking tree. For what we paid for it, we have absolutely gotten our money’s worth. Last year, I found myself ogling other people’s flocked Christmas trees online. The fake snow is stunning with the lights. So this year I decided I wanted a tree upgrade, until I actually started looking online at flocked trees. They are so expensive!! I can certainly attest they are beautiful, but I’m not about to shell out $300 on a tree. Imagine all the gifts you can get people  with that money! Naturally, we decided to DIY it. The best part is that we only spent $15 on the supplies!

Dollar Store Thanksgiving Centerpiece

Dollar Store DIY

Hello and welcome back! I love Thanksgiving, but Christmas is the holiday I go all out for when it comes to decorations. This year I was looking for a simple, inexpensive centerpiece that still looked pretty. Of course, I love to browse my local Dollar Tree and see what I can make. All of the pieces I used to make my Thanksgiving centerpiece this year are from Dollar Tree and I actually already had everything here at home, so I didn’t spend a thing!

That’s actually happened to me for two years in a row. Ha! If that sounds like you and you didn’t have a great costume planned out, don’t fret, I’ve got your back. This costume is so cute, and I had everything at home already to make it, so I didn’t spend a penny.

DIY Couples Halloween Costume

Hello and welcome back! The weather is finally starting to get nice here in Florida. (Yay!)

Halloween is just around the corner, so today I’m back with another Halloween costume DIY. I’ve been trying to think of cute couples costume ideas that aren’t too overdone and are also super budget friendly. Instead of buying all new stuff, we looked around the house at what we already had to see what we could make. We decided to be a cop and a donut! These costumes are so easy and budget friendly.

DIY Burlap Fall Wreath

Hello and welcome back! I hope you are having a fabulous fall thus far. It still feels like summer here in Florida, but I’m not letting that discourage me from participating in all the fall things. I’m back today with another DIY Fall Wreath. There is something about burlap that screams fall to me.

I’ve seen so many of these bubble wreaths out there and decided to give it a shot. This one is so silly easy and affordable that I just may be making more and giving them away as gifts in the very near future!
