Hello and happy Thursday! I hope you all are safe and having a great week. This week has been b-a-n-a-n-a-s with Hurricane Irma approaching Florida. Speaking of bananas, I wanted to share my smoothie recipe with you! This recipe is vegan friendly and completely dairy free.
I’ve been trying to cut back on consuming dairy as much as possible recently, so I’ve cut out milk, coffee creamer, and yogurt. I didn’t know it was possible to make a delicious and creamy smoothie without yogurt or milk, but trust me when I say that it is very possible and you will not be disappointed!
To make two servings you will need:
- 1 c vanilla almond milk
- 1 5.3 oz container of coconut milk yogurt alternative
- 3/4 c of old fashioned oats
- 1 tbs brown sugar
- 1 tbs of cinnamon
- 2 bananas frozen and peeled
Add all the ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth!
I love that this recipe doesn’t even need ice. It is nice and cool from the frozen bananas.
You would never even know that this recipe doesn’t have dairy in it. I’ve been loving the So Delicious coconut milk coffee creamer and when I found out they had yogurt alternative I had to give it a try.
We love making this smoothie for breakfast or even as dessert. It is so light and you won’t feel awful after you’ve had it.
Do you have any dairy alternatives you love? What is your favorite smoothie recipe?
Let me know in the comments!
